Deep colour, typical of the region’s reds. Ripe, chocolate and dark berry aromas with some savoury black olive notes. Oak is in the background. Full-bodied, generous palate with ripe fruit characters and a lingering finish. This wine is rather more approachable in its youth than previous releases, due largely to the stress-free growing season and our use of small open fermenters. Abundant with sweet fruit flavours and a remarkable persistence, this wine drinks well on release but has the capacity to develop with cellaring.
